It's been a little while since our last post, but not because we're resting on our laurels. Quite the opposite! It's because we were in Las Vegas last week for the annual RE/MAX Convention. More than 7,000 RE/MAX agents from 64 countries gathered to learn the newest, best and most effective ways to serve homebuyers and sellers.

It was all hands on deck for the four-day event in Las Vegas – and that's because RE/MAX emphasizes, encourages and provides ongoing education for agents. Why so much attention to learning?

Well, you've undoubtedly seen the housing headlines over the past several years; the real estate climate is constantly changing. Agents have to be adaptable to the ups and downs in the industry; part of being adaptable is always staying on top of the latest trends and looking for new learning opportunities – new opportunities to become a better agent.

In fact, if you're looking to buy or sell, agent education should be on your radar, too. When you're interviewing agents to work with, ask specifically about the ways they're keeping themselves educated and about the ways they're applying their new knowledge to the climate in your local market.
